Dr. Stephen Suen is the Founding Chairman of Marga group of companies actively leading the various Marga initiatives in ASEAN. He has over 30 years of international experience in the world of real estate, finance, telecommunication and management of private and public companies. He is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, UK. He is also a Fellow of Certified Public Accountants Australia and a Fellow of HK Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received his Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Hong Kong and a Master of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales. He also received a master and a doctorate degree in Buddhism from the University of Hong Kong.
Stephen was one of the founding team members of Macquarie Bank, serving as Head of Property Asia. He was a director of Macquarie Goodman, one of the largest industrial property funds, and Macquarie Retail Management (Asia), one of the largest retail property funds in China looking after a property portfolio of over US$1 billion. He was also the Asia Pacific Director of Century 21 Real Estate and the Managing Director of Treasure Land Property Consultants. He is an advisor to Hong Kong Institute of Real Estate and was appointed previously by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Government to serve in Hong Kong’s Estate Agents Authority as a founding committee member.
As a successful entrepreneur, Stephen established Treasure Land Property Consultants, a leading property consultancy in Hong Kong, China-way Corporation, a Chinese business advisory firm, and Global Call, a telecommunications company in Hong Kong. He founded Marga Global Investment as a ASEAN-focused investment vehicle for reputable investors in Europe and Asia.
Ir. Edgar Kwan Chi Ping, BBS, JP is a civil and structural engineer graduated in 1973. He has 40 years of local and international experience in engineering, construction and project management, facility management and real estate development. He is a chartered engineer in the United Kingdom and a registered structural engineer in Hong Kong. He is also a Fellow of The Institution of Civil Engineers and The Institution of Structural Engineers in the United Kingdom and The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. He received his Bachelor and Master degrees both in Civil Engineering from the University of Hong Kong and a Master degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He attended the AMDP in Real Estate in Harvard University in 2009.
Edgar’s property development experience is vast and global. As senior management, including titles Director and Chief Operating Officer, of multiple listed and private companies, he led and oversaw construction and development projects in China, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Some of his highly acclaimed development projects include the Four Seasons Hotel in Shanghai; Centrium Residence in Beijing; World Trade Centre in Bangkok; Central Plaza in Shenyang as well as the Regal Hotel chain in Hong Kong. He also contributed to a lot of infrastructural projects such as the bridges and flyovers as well as oil depots for the Hong Kong government in his early days.
His major public services include a member of Fight Crime Committee, a member of Appeal Board on Public Meetings and Processions, a member of the Appeal Tribunal (Building) of the Planning and Lands Bureau, and a member of the Supervisory Board of Hong Kong Housing Society. He had also served the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC) as member; the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) as member; the Construction Industry Training Authority (CITA) as Chairman; the Hong Kong Construction Association as Vice President; the Construction Industry Council as member and the Real Estate Developers’ Association as Director.
Edgar is married with 2 daughters. In his leisure time, he enjoys swimming, motoring, shooting, photography and music.
Mr. John Barnes is a Director of Marga Group. John has over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry having worked for Intercontinental Hotels Group and The Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels Group (The Peninsula Group). John was General Manager of The Peninsula Group’s flagship residential and commercial property, The Repulse Bay. He was responsible for operating the entire 421- unit property which featured five dining outlets, commercial arcade, and a club house.
John is a Committee Member of the Hong Kong Solicitors Disciplinary Board and also sits on The Hong Kong Transport Department PVRM Committee. Previously he was an Adjudicator of The Hong Kong Immigration Tribunal sitting on both the registration of persons and right of abode panels. His voluntary work includes being a member of the Board of Directors of The Hong Kong Guide Dogs Association. John lives in Hong Kong and is fluent in Cantonese. He was educated in Hong Kong and completed his tertiary education in Australia as well as at Cornell University in the United States and INSEAD Business School in France. John is married and in his leisure time plays golf and tennis.
Antony Cheung is the Executive Director of Marga Group and Director of Hong Kong, overseeing investor relations and real estate operations across ASEAN. He has served as Acting Chairman of the Myanmar-Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MHKCCI) since September 2024, performing a key role in strengthening cross-border business relations.
A board member of Marga Global and Fantastic Views, and a director at Ivy Gate, a Hong Kong-based education service provider, Antony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business. He began his career as a financial analyst at Anvil Advisors and as a summer analyst at Goldman Sachs. Prior to Marga, he worked at DAK Industrial, specializing in seasonal decorations.
He continues to play a vital role in Marga Group's strategic initiatives and fostering business partnerships in the region.
Mr. Chris Lee is an executive director of Marga Group. He covers investor relations of North Asian countries and is actively involved in Marga’s real estate operations in ASEAN. He currently sits on the board of Marga Global and Grand Pagoda Ventures. He also serves as a managing director of CLEE Capital, a venture capital fund focusing on opportunities in start-ups and private equity market. Prior to joining Marga, he was at Ballingal Investment Advisors, a hedge fund involved in variety of long-short equity trades, PIPE deals, and other corporate advisory transactions in the industrial, resources and manufacturing sectors. He also worked at Standard Chartered Bank covering Korean equity market and runs a restaurant chain in Hong Kong called Jang. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance from University of Notre Dame.
Eliott Suen is the Managing Director of Varada Capital and the CEO of Marga Group. Varada Capital and Marga Group focus on ASEAN investments in the realms of real estate, telecommunication, consumer retail and healthcare. Before founding Varada and Marga, Eliott worked in Goldman Sachs as an investment banker. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Creative Writing from Columbia University in the City of New York. He also studied in Peking University and is currently enrolled in the EMBA program at Tsinghua People's Bank of China School of Finance. Eliott enjoys entrepreneurial success in various industries. At the age of 19, he founded Ivy Gate, the leading premier education company in Hong Kong. He also founded a series of ventures focused on emerging market investments, agri-food sector, healthcare and technology.Eliott comes from a family of art collectors and actively manages The Chamber of Young Snow, a collection dedicated to Chinese Fine Arts ranging from Han Dynasty masterpieces to Contemporary works. The family funds famous institutions (including Peking University, The University of Hong Kong and Lingnan University) to develop cultural research and education. Eliott also founded The Authority, an art and culture technology incubation platform with the aim of promoting digital art and blockchain technology.
Eliott is also active in public service. He is currently serving as a member of Hong Kong Museum Advisory Committee, member of Finance Committee and Audit Committee for the Hong Kong Housing Society, member of four Hong Kong Appeal Panels (Housing, Hotel & Guest Accommodation, Clubs Safety of Premises, Bedspace Apartments), and board director of the China Exploration and Research Society.
Mr. William Leung is Technical Director (MEP) for Marga Group. With 20 years of experience in building services of experience and looking after for the different types of project development which included Hotel, Convention & Exhibition Centre, Shopping Mall, University. Industrial Office, Factory and Residential building in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. William holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Building Services Engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is member of The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
Mr. Joe Chiu is a associate director of construction with more than 20 years of experience and has a solid track record in managing construction projects in Hong Kong, Mainland China and a number of African countries. Most recently Joe worked for a group of Hong Kong investors whose major ventures included large-scale national reconstruction and infrastructure projects in developing countries. Over the course of his exceptional career he has played a vital role in executing projects of various property-types including commercial complexes, residential developments, public housing projects, and educational and vocational training facilities.
Mr. Daniel Yau holds a bachelor degree in Banking & Finance from the University of South Australia and is a member of both the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and CPA Australia. He has over 20 years of auditing, accounting and banking experience. He started his career at Ernest & Young and then moved to the Business Banking Division of Hang Seng Bank.
Later Daniel worked in the property sector as Chief Accountant for Fairland Resources Group, the pioneering developer of villas in Fairview Park and Hong Lok Yuen in Hong Kong. More recently, he worked as Head of Finance & Administration for the international NGO, Asia Society. He played an integral role as the organization built a new permanent Hong Kong Center. This AIA-award winning project involved transforming four historical buildings to a new exchange hub of Asian arts, culture, business and policies at a former British Military site in the Admiralty district.
Mr. Choi Kwok Leung earned his bachelor degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and joined Global Call Ltd in 2001 as a graduate trainee. Working in both our card and corporate department, Mr. Choi was appointed as a Marketing Executive in 2002 and then promoted to Marketing Manager for our Corporate Team in 2003. Mr. Choi believes that team work is the key to maximize individual and company potential.
Mr. Joseph Chow is the Commercial Director of Marga Group. He joined the Group as Manager since 2013. He has more than 15 years of experience in the property market in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Marga, he was a senior management in Treasure Land Property Consultants. He has also worked in China-way Corporation as Manager and Personal Assistant to the Chairman. Over his career, he has been awarded numerous accolades as a top performing salesman. Joseph is a certified and licensed Estate Agent (Individual) and Insurance Agent in Hong Kong.
Mr. Alex Wong is the Deputy Commercial Director of Marga Group, focusing on expanding the company’s enterprise and channel client bases. Alex holds over a decade of leadership experience in account management at two different listed real estate companies in Hong Kong. Alex specializes in forming strategic alliances and programs. He also leads product launches; organizes international analyst tours; and helps Marga to generate press coverage, product reviews, awards, and keynote opportunities. Alex is a certified and licensed Estate Agent (Individual) in Hong Kong.
Mr. Joe Wong is the Deputy Commercial Director of Marga Group focusing on expanding the client bases and exploring the company sales channels.
He has achieved persistent success in his 8 years of career life in the real estate sector. Over his career, he has been awarded numerous accolades as an outstanding performing salesman, including top 10 salesperson of whole company, top five sales person by district, and consecutively 8 years being recognized as the members of Centaline Silver Eagle Club.
Mr. Christopher Cheng is the Deputy Commercial Director of Marga Group focusing on expanding the company’s enterprise and channel client bases. Christopher has more than 18 years of experience in real estate sales in Hong Kong, specializing in training and sales techniques. He won the 47th Distinguished Salesperson Award organized by the Sales and Marketing Executives Club of The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) in conjunction with Sales and Marketing Executives International of New York (SMEI). Christopher is a certified and licensed Estate Agent (individual) in Hong Kong.
Mr. Timmy Ng is the Deputy Commercial Director of Marga Group and has over seventeen years of experience working in the Hong Kong property sector. He joined the Group from a prestigious property agency where for over five years he was the Chief Associate Director, undertaking in a number of different duties, but particularly excelling in the managing, training and the professional development of the employees. Timmy is particularly focused and passionate in client retention by bringing the clients exceptional service with every transaction. Timmy is a certified and licensed Estate Agent (Individual) in Hong Kong.
Mr. Raymond Tse is the Private Equity Associate of Marga Group. He joined the Group since 2021.
He has over 5 years of experiences in corporate finance, covers fund raising exercises, mergers and acquisitions, valuation and corporate advisory to various listed companies. Before he started a career in corporate finance, he worked in the head office of Ripple Labs, a DeFi cryptocurrency company based in downtown San Francisco, California, where he was focus on the business expansion to the East Asia market.
Raymond holds a bachelor degree in Environmental Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
